Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account and using Beacon AI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Beacon AI on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. The service

Beacon AI provides an AI-assisted social media engagement platform. We use Anthropic's Claude to generate suggested responses to social media comments and messages. All AI-generated content is a suggestion only — your team reviews and approves before anything is sent. You are responsible for all content published through your connected accounts.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at hello@beaconai.io.
• You may not share accounts or allow multiple individuals to use the same login unless your plan explicitly includes multiple users.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Your plan is based on the total follower count across your connected social channels.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
• If your follower count grows beyond your current plan tier, you are responsible for upgrading to the appropriate plan.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Beacon AI to:

• Send spam, harass, threaten, or abuse any individual.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including data protection laws.
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform.
• Use AI-generated responses without human review in contexts where errors could cause harm.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

6. AI-generated content

Beacon AI uses Anthropic's Claude to generate response suggestions. You acknowledge that:

• AI suggestions may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all content before it is published.
• We are not liable for any consequences arising from publishing AI-generated content without adequate review.

7. Intellectual property

Beacon AI and its underlying technology are owned by Beacon AI Ltd. You retain ownership of your brand data, social content, and response templates. By using the platform, you grant us a limited licence to process your data for the purpose of providing the service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon AI Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amount you paid us in that period.

9. Service availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice where possible. We are not liable for outages caused by third-party services (Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, social platforms).

10. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. On termination, your access to the platform ceases at the end of your billing period. You may request deletion of your data at any time — see our Privacy Policy for details.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you by email with 14 days' notice before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance.
